The Rules

1. There really isn't any... but be friendly ^^ [duh]
2. You are not required to know any of us... but it's the best if you do.
3. No spamming.
4. Though not required, but it's the best if you share some common interests with any of us.
5. Post and comment once in a while, and tell us if you are on leave, don't leave us hanging.

and that's pretty much it...

Note: All Charter members are automatically granted Admin status... however, if you are currently an Author and want to be an Admin, send an email to Wind.

Admin has all controls to this community, including settings and layout changes.

So, ready?

To Join...

Send an email to Wind [or any other Charter member is fine] or post a comment to any entry of them if you don't mind it being public with the following:

1. Your name, or whatever name you prefer
2. An ACTIVE email address that you constantly use
3. How do you heard about us
4. Something about you
5. Some common interests you share
6. ... or anything about you that we could know to approve you to be a member.

You'll get a reply within a week [if sent to Wind] about your request and will be directed to further complete the process.

Since I mentioned on the rules section that I'll further explain the label sections... so here it its! ^^

Labels for Dummies ^^

It's not rele hard... but just an extra step to do before you click "Publish Post" every time and you'll save the people who organize this blog a lot of headaches ^^

Where to find the label section: It's at the bottom right corner of the page where you post new things.

So here are the details:

1. Tag your name every time you post an entry... so the post will appear on your individual archives.
2. Besides your name, tag something that summarize your post, or at least part of it. For example: Everyday life, Rants, School, Manga, Movie, Music, etc.
3. Please do not duplicate... like Rant and Rants... only one is ok ^^
4. It's the best to keep your labels really general... but if something [for example: High School Musical] keep popping up in our entries... we can have it specifically separated
5. If you still have no idea what's going on, add something about it on the Tagboard.

Oks... here's the info about this place.

[Members, add whatever info that you feel like too... um...just pay attention to the order...]

Q: What Are We?

A: Um... as the intro said, we are a community that blog about our different lives, exchange informations/ knowledges of all sorts, share interests, and stay connected.

Q: Why that funky name?

A: Ok... I shall explain our name here! Codename... [no problem w/ that?] As the title said, Hills & Lunches are codename for members of the community! ^^ Hills is a shortened version of a certain school that most of our charter members knew very well^^... and as for Lunch... that's really the place that brought most of us together... hence, Codename: Hills & Lunches. As for the subtitle: 7th Period is a Secret, this community is almost like an additional 7th period of our life... [um... Keller? TGA only have 6 periods, right?] and we want to keep this community as a secret way for us to connect and also the community is limited to certain numbers of member... so it's a secret between us! ^_~

Q: When did Hills & Lunch first start?

A: Um... HL started only recently on June 10th... when Wind and T suddenly had the same idea in their heads and decided to put it up and many friends gathered up at HL. ^_~

Q: How do I become a member?

A: To join, click on the "Join Us" section for the complete info. But here's a condensed version: You are not required to know any of us here, but it's the best if you do. To join, contact any of the members on the "About Us" sections that is an admin [all Charter members are] via whatever means they listed... and usually within a week, you'll get a reply to further complete the process. ^^ [To all Charter Members: if u have joined ans is still listed as an AUTHOR, contact Wind immediately for a change.]

Q: Is there any requirement for joining?

A: No, there really isn't one. You don't have to know any of us, but it'd be better if you do... And it'd be also good if you share some common interest with some of us. ^^ Click on our profiles to check ^^

Q: Do I have to post everyday?

A: Nope... there's no requirement for a certain number of posts... post when you feel like to! And do remind us if you are on leave sometimes... so we won't get all worried and hire detectives to see what's going on! ^^

Q: Um... am I allowed to bring someone I know here?

A: Absolutely, as long as we are accepting members, do tell your friends all about it ^^

Q: Troubleshoot! What do I do?

A: The best way is to ask your questions on the Tagboard... but if you see any of the members online, ask them ^^ And... ask Wind if you want too... she's pretty used to Blogger... [and since I kinda nagged everyone on here...]

Q: Ok, last question! I want to say something! So how?

A: Comment or write on the Tagboard, but if it's something very -cough- secretive, contact the individual person via their means of contact on the "About Us" page. If it's something related to the site structure or layout, please direct all mails/messages/whatever to Wind. Thanks ^_~

The layout is up! ^^ Usually I don't finish an entire layout in one day... so this one came out pretty simple... [I did had the idea in mind for a while now though...a layout idea, I mean] So I decided on a dark blue and white color theme... since it's always a good match.^^ And layout itself was quite troublesome, and thanks to Aqua for some help. ^^ So enjoy the new layout. There'll be a Current/Past Layout page to be added tomorrow. I've already taken screenshots. ^^ And all mis-formatted pages are corrected too.

Um... we got the blog up? So the layout is currently a pre-made one... and Wind is responsible to making the first first layout. Email her about the layout color themes or images that could go on there. And new site-related pages such as this, guidelines, about us, FAQ, etc. are added too. ^^ Also, help me sending out invitations, ask me for a default format of the invitation.

-->> So the first version of HL, I made it in less than 2 hours... and the coding was also kinda easy. It has a simple layout of tables and color theme is blue-and-white. [seems to complement vesrion 2.0's color themes] As for the image choices, since this version was a tribute to all members, I found images represented some of our common interests, like anime, FB, violins, and -cough- HSM -cough...It turned out quite well for a two-hour layout.

The Ultimate Guideline

So here's something to know about joining:

1. Self-introduce after joining... on the About Us page... I know we all know each other... but who cares... just write something about yourself
2. Update an entry and comment once in a while... [duh...]
3. Welcomed to bring people you know... just make sure that we get introduced ^_~
4. DO TELL ME ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT FOR OUR LAYOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll announce when the next layout updates is... and of course, if anyone want to contribute to a layout update... they're VERY welcomed to do that...

And here goes some stuff about posting:

The is the default way to post... go to the Blogger homepage, log in... which led you to Dashboard where you see when our blog was last updated and how many post there are... blah... blah... and under there, click the New Post link.

Or... sorry if you actually read all that: click Here.

1. I need you to LABEL!!! see the little box down there that says "Labels for this post"? Yep that's there. I need you to label your NAME there [nickname is fine] so that the posts are automatically added to the achieves w/ your name... [Or else I'll have to do it myself... ugh!]
2. You're welcomed to develop your posting style so it's easily distinguished on the main page. [like Wind will always have a "Current" section down at the bottom and have an avatar on top that's made by herself (ok.. sometimes not). ^_~]
3. If an entry is too long, you're welcomed to split it in half.
4. Read the label guideline too, PLEAZ?
5. Rant all you want... you're free to do so ^^
   
6. er... well... log in first?

If you want to join us, make sure to email one of us at the "About Us" page... and I don't even think these "rules" above apply at all. But the "Join Us" section does help more...
